Do you want to save your relationship from the verge of death? As human as we are, we tend to lose interest in all things, relationship is not an exception to this. Let’s say you love to eat pizza. Are you going to eat pizza for the whole months and years? I’m sure you will try another dish for a change. The same with relationships, you will be worn out if you keep on doing the same thing again and again.
If I lose interest in my partner, is it the end?
It’s natural to get bored in a relationship. Anyone who is in a long-term relationship experiences it. The question is how you handled it and what are the solutions you make to bring back the spark. The world is changing and so are you and your partner’s interests. If you are already at that stage, it’s not the end yet. You can still both save your relationship. But how?
Let me show you some tips on how to maintain a healthy, successful long-term relationship. This will serve as a fuel to keep your passion burning in your relationship.
Communication
Talk openly to your special someone to create a strong need for connectivity and belonging. Whether it is just talking about her day or trying to discuss problems, recognize that and communicate your ideas for solutions with tentativeness.
Spend time together
Not necessarily everyday, however, spending more quality time together will strengthen your bond and keep the love alive.
Unleash the adventure couple inside you
A rewarding relationship should be filled with experiences that create remarkable memories. Learn something new together, go on a truly unforgettable trip, see the sunrise from the top of the mountain or just do something completely unselfish for the other person.
Surprises
Your partner will appreciate the gesture if you make surprises once in a while. It will make her feel loved, beautiful and young. This will make her heart jump in joy.
Silly jokes
Being dead serious all the time is unhealthy. You should make your partner laugh sometimes. Laughing relieves stress and will make your relationship alive. Tell her she’s beautiful in a silly way. Compliment her body. That will boost her confidence and will add a sexual desire.
Help her with the household chores
Household chores were often the cause of relationship quarrels. Simply helping her in the house will make her smile. It will give her the impact that you are paying attention to her and being considerate. Think of it as spending time together. You can talk with each other while cleaning, for example. That will be considered as bonding.
Commitment
Break-ups are unlikely to happen if you are committed to each other. Everyone can experience relationship problems, it is a way to test how strong your bond is. If you are committed you will likely spend the rest of your days with her.
Trust
Commitment and trust should come hand in hand. Nothing good will happen if you don’t trust your partner or you lack trust in your relationship. Stop being paranoid, it will ruin your relationship.
Bottom line
Reassess yourself. Is the relationship worth saving? Try to go back to the days where your love for each other is unbreakable. Always remember, being in a relationship is a choice. If you choose to stay, find a way to lift your desire. If you choose to leave then leave. One thing is for sure, in your next relationship you will come across this stage again but with a different person involved.

Check out “Love and Respect” by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. THE best I have ever read on how to maintain a marriage.
“It is not your love that sustains the marriage, but from now on, the marriage that sustains your love.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer, writing to a young bride and groom from his prison cell in Nazi Germany in 1943.

This is good advice. I agree that strong marriages are built and that couples don’t magically fall in and out of love.
